My new Converse hi-tops finally came today! Actually, they came yesterday but the UPS delivery man somehow decided it would be a good idea to place the package by our trash bins (???) and I only noticed it today. I had to get these via their customization service because they don’t have a simple black/eggshell colorway for sale, which I would assume to be basic enough to mass produce. Apparently not.
My feet have barely been surviving in nothing but combat boots and zip boots ever since by old pair of Converse got so tattered they were pretty much unwearable. They’re pretty much my only sneakers. I’d say I’ve worn them to their full extent. My mother thought they were unwearable 9 months ago when I went to visit for the holidays. The two times I’ve been this close to buying Lanvin hi-tops, the thought of my then badly bruised Converse–a reminder of how I treat shoes–had stopped me. They are, however, still in my closet. I don’t know if I can bare to throw them away.

These are so chic. They’re luxe Chucks! Love it. I love that it’s more of a textured pebbled leather.
