The Celebrate Kaimuki festival was this weekend and I was able to attend the tail-end of the event which began at 9 a.m. and ended at 3 p.m. Kaimuki’s small businesses set up kiosks along the road and everyone was free to attend and look around.
The yearly event takes place on a closed-off portion of Waialae Avenue as well as the nearby community park and school playground. It’s such a quirkly little gathering which for me emphasizes the small-town atmosphere that Kaimuki still manages to maintain. I love this little town!
Not gonna lie, the main reason I attend this event is because of the food. This year I grabbed some yummy lo-mein and cha siu baau from the Happy Days stand. Perfection. Also, my package from ASOS finally came in that day, with that £3 checkerboard straw trilby among the contents. Such a steal with so much Lanvin S/S 09 customizing possibility.
